3/16" Diameter ALLIGATOR® All-Purpose Wall Anchors

Package of 20 w/ #8 x 1 1/4" Screws

Although ALLIGATOR® All-Purpose Wall Anchors may look like ordinary plastic plugs, they function very differently to hold more weight than most concrete anchors and masonry anchors made out of metal.

Thanks to the ALLIGATOR anchors' unique, patented design, they can even hold more than most chemical, epoxy, and adhesive anchors.

Metal concrete anchors can't work when they hit a cavity, because they need something solid to push against. In unexpected cavities (like hollow brick or hollow block) and in hollow walls (like tile over drywall or in drywall itself), the screw opens the ALLIGATOR anchor and locks its thread into the anchor's teeth to resist pull-out and vibration. This makes the ALLIGATOR All-Purpose Wall Anchor the solution to your fastening problems.

Versatile - work in all materials: drywall, concrete, brick, tile, plaster, stucco, wood & more with a wide range of screw sizes

Stronger than most metal & chemical anchors and all plastic plugs - anchor bonds screw to concrete, brick & masonry

Won't spin or countersink into hole, thanks to unique head design & anti-rotation fins

Weather-resistant—seal the hole in concrete, brick & stone:
NO caulking or sealant needed

Inexpensive, rustproof installations when used with stainless steel screw

ALLIGATOR All-Purpose Anchors can be used in almost any material, including:

  • Concrete
  • Brick
  • Masonry
  • Stone
  • Cinder Block
  • Cement Block
  • Aerated Concrete
  • Ceramic Tile
  • Green Board
  • Plaster
  • Stucco
  • Drywall
  • Wood
  • Flakeboard
  • RTA Furniture
  • Foam-insulated Panels

Solid-Wall Installation:

1. Drill hole into solid wall same diameter as anchor diameter. Minimum hole depth = 2x the length of the anchor.

Push in anchor and tap flush to wall with hammer.

2. Place item over anchor.

Insert screw and tighten flush with item.

3. Anchor will extrude up to 2x its original length, sealing the hole and providing highest holding power. For best results, use a screw gun for installation in solid walls.

If you hit a hidden cavity, the screw opens the anchor and locks securely.

Hollow-Wall Installation:

1. Drill hole into hollow wall same diameter as anchor diameter.

Push in anchor and tap flush to wall with hammer.

2. Place item over anchor. Insert screw and tighten flush with item.

3. The screw opens the anchor and locks the screw thread into the anchor's "teeth" to resist vibration and shock, providing secure holding in hollow walls.

This enables you to drill anywhere in the wall and not worry if it is hollow or solid.

NOTE: Not recommended for hollow ceilings. In hollow ceilings, use our TOGGLER® Plastic Toggle Anchor or our SNAPTOGGLE® Toggle Bolt.
